1. WHAT PERKS DO I GET AS A FINISHER?
All participants receive a very hip, organic performance fabric t-shirt, great finisher’s medal, and a fabulous finish line festival.
2. CAN WALKERS PARTICIPATE IN THE HALF MARATHON?
Yes, walkers are welcome in the event. However, all participants must complete the race within 3.0 hrs. To complete the Half Marathon by 10:00am, you must maintain a pace of 14:00 minutes per mile (or faster). Walkers who are not on pace to complete the event before the course closes at 10:00am will be picked up and transported to the finish by our SAG (Support and Gear) buses.
3. ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?
Dogs will not be allowed on the course. If you are legally blind and require a Guide Dog, please contact infosf@usraceseries.com so that we may accommodate your participation.
4. WILL SKATES, STROLLERS OR BIKES BE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?
No. Skates, strollers and bikes crowd the course and create potential safety hazards. Because we want all runners to have a positive experience skates, strollers or bikes are not allowed on the course.
5. HOW MANY RUNNERS DO YOU EXPECT TO PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR?
For our Spring USH2, we expect 3,000 and the Fall USH1, there will be 5,000 participants.
6. WHAT KIND OF RUNNERS DO YOU EXPECT TO ENTER?
We expect all levels of runners worldwide. Levels will range from first-time runners and walkers to veterans and professionals. This event is intended as a celebration of running, open to all.
7. WHAT AND WHERE IS THE POST-RACE CONCERT?
The post-race concert is a free concert for race participants, family and friends and will take place at the Finish Line Festival located on the waterfront in Aquatic Park.
8. HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We welcome your participation as a volunteer! The event will need hundreds of volunteers to staff the aid stations, work the expo and offer support to the runners at the start and finish.
